Ousted Israeli defense minister says army has completed objectives in Gaza
Yoav Gallant, Israel's ousted defense minister, stated that the Israeli army has completed its objectives in Gaza. He expressed concerns about the ongoing military presence, suggesting it is unnecessary and risks soldiers' lives.
Gallant also claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a hostages-for-peace deal against the advice of security officials. He indicated that Netanyahu's reasons for maintaining military operations were not based on military or diplomatic needs.
The conflict continues to escalate, with recent airstrikes in Lebanon resulting in casualties. In Gaza, over 43,000 Palestinians have reportedly died during the past 13 months of conflict.
