Over 380 body donors honored at Ramaiah Medical College

Ramaiah Medical College recently held an event called ‘Abhinandana’ to honor 382 voluntary body donors. This ceremony was organized by the college's Department of Anatomy and has been celebrated each year since 2010. The donors, along with their families, received warm thanks for their contributions to medical education and research. Dr. Shalini C. Nooyi, the Principal and Dean of the college, spoke about the purpose of life, emphasizing the importance of being useful and compassionate. Other speakers included Ramesh Debur, who presented on physical balance, and Nagarekha Palli, who spoke about including millets in our diets. An octogenarian donor expressed happiness for being part of the program, thanking the hospital for raising awareness about body donation.
