More than 40,000 students took the SSLC-1 exam in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. The exam started on Friday. In Dakshina Kannada, 28,728 students attended, while 229 were absent. In the Bantwal education block, 5,827 students took the exam, with 52 absent. The Mangaluru North block had 5,269 students, and Mangaluru South had 5,038. Other blocks like Puttur, Belthangady, Moodbidri, and Sullia had around 4,000 to 1,900 students each. Govind Madiwal, the Deputy Director of Public Instruction, noted that CCTVs were installed to monitor the exams. He reported that everything went smoothly in all centers. In Udupi district, 13,830 students participated, with 65 absent. Udupi block had the most students at 3,378, followed by Kundapur, Karkala, Brahmavar, and Byndoor.
