Over 40% of new Ferrari buyers under 40
Ferrari is seeing a change in its customer base. More than 40 percent of new buyers are now under the age of 40. This number has increased from 30 percent in 2023. CEO Benedetto Vigna shared this information during a CNBC interview. He noted that this trend shows the brand’s success in attracting younger customers. Despite this change, Ferrari remains exclusive. In 2024, about 81 percent of new Ferraris were sold to existing customers, many of whom already owned more than one Ferrari. Last year, the company sold a total of 13,752 cars. The United States was the largest market, with 3,527 units sold. Germany and Japan followed, with 1,827 and 1,445 cars sold, respectively. The introduction of the Purosangue SUV, referred to as a "Ferrari Utility Vehicle," has contributed to these sales numbers. Between January and August 2024, it was the brand's second-best seller, with 1,489 units sold. The Roma model was slightly ahead, with 1,870 units sold. Looking ahead, Ferrari plans to release new models in 2025, including the 12Cilindri and F80. However, demand is high, and the company is already sold out through 2026. New buyers may have to wait until early 2027 to purchase a new Ferrari.
