Over 450 lawyers charged with assault and rioting

Lucknow police have filed two FIRs against over 450 lawyers following violent incidents at Vibhuti Khand police station. The first FIR involves 300 lawyers accused of assaulting police and vandalizing property during a protest over the detention of five individuals. The second FIR targets a group of more than 150 lawyers who clashed with police on March 14. They reportedly blocked a busy intersection, causing significant traffic disruptions during the Holi festival and affecting emergency services. The lawyers are charged with multiple offenses, including assault, rioting, and obstructing government work. Police have identified several individuals involved in the incidents.
