Over 50 people ill from water contamination in Kamarhati

A water contamination issue in Kamarhati has made over 50 people sick. The outbreak is linked to drinking water in the Belgharia-Kamarhati area. Local health authorities are now investigating the situation. Reports say that 56 individuals have experienced diarrhoea after consuming water in places like Uttar Basudebpur and Choudhury Para. Many are suffering from severe stomach pain, vomiting, and loose motions. Some are in serious condition and have been taken to local hospitals, including Kamarhati ESI and Sagore Dutta Hospital. In response to the outbreak, the Kamarhati Municipality has issued warnings. Public announcements are being made to inform residents about the situation and the importance of safe drinking water.
