Owen Warner begins new role filming in Liverpool
Owen Warner has landed his first acting role since leaving Hollyoaks. The 25-year-old previously played Romeo Nightingale in the show. He will now star alongside Lucy-Jo Hudson, who portrayed his mother, Donna Marie-Quinn, in the Channel 4 soap. Lucy-Jo announced their collaboration on Instagram, saying, “Filming something special today with my old mate @owenwarner.” Owen shared her post on his own Instagram stories as well. The new project is a short film being filmed in Liverpool, but its title has not been revealed yet. Lucy-Jo is known for her role as Katy Harris in Coronation Street. She was previously married to Alan Halsall and has two children. Recently, she shared her excitement about getting a new role, stating she was “absolutely buzzing” and grateful for the opportunity. Owen, who was in Hollyoaks for six years, also appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2022, where he came in second. He said leaving Hollyoaks was sad but acknowledges the possibility of pursuing Hollywood. He humorously mentioned needing to adjust to wearing clothes again, after often appearing shirtless on the show.
