Packers interested in pass rusher James Pearce Jr
The Green Bay Packers are looking to strengthen their defense as the NFL offseason continues. They specifically need to boost their pass rush. So far, General Manager Brian Gutekunst has not signed any major free agents to address this issue. As the team prepares for the upcoming NFL Draft, they may be eyeing a talented pass rusher. Reports indicate that the Packers are interested in James Pearce Jr., a standout from the University of Tennessee. Pearce is 6-foot-5 and weighs nearly 245 pounds, boasting impressive athleticism and speed. During his three years at Tennessee, Pearce made 71 tackles and recorded 19.5 sacks, along with three forced fumbles and an interception. His skills could significantly benefit the Packers' defense. The Packers' defense improved last season under Coach Jeff Hafley. However, a stronger pass rush could make it even better. If Pearce is available when the Packers pick at number 23 in the first round of the draft, he could be their choice to enhance the team's defense.
