Packers predicted to draft wide receiver Jalen Royals
The Green Bay Packers finished their last season in disappointment, losing in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Despite showing promise early on, they struggled towards the end of the season, losing two key games to rivals Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. One major issue was at wide receiver, especially with Christian Watson sidelined due to a torn ACL. Without him, the Packers lacked a deep threat in their playoff matchup. As they look to improve their roster, the Packers are expected to target a wide receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft. Ben Rolfe from Pro Football Network suggests they might select Jalen Royals from Utah State in the third round. Royals has a strong college record, catching 126 passes for 1,914 yards and 21 touchdowns over two seasons. Royals is known for his speed and ability to make contested catches. He could bring valuable skills to the Packers' offense. While he might not be the top receiver fans hope for, he could still provide significant help to quarterback Jordan Love. Adding Royals could be a step toward giving the Packers more offensive options for the future.
