Pakistan demands Afghanistan explain Jaffar Express attack connections
Pakistan has requested an explanation from Afghanistan regarding the involvement of terrorists in the recent Jaffar Express attack. This follows a strong protest lodged with the Afghan Chargé D’affaires after militants held over 440 passengers hostage. The attack, carried out by the Balochistan Liberation Army, resulted in the deaths of 26 passengers and four security personnel. Pakistan's military confirmed that the attackers were in contact with their handlers in Afghanistan, highlighting concerns over cross-border terrorism. Pakistan's Foreign Office reminded the Afghan envoy of the Taliban's commitment not to allow their territory to be used for attacks against Pakistan. The situation has drawn international attention, with leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, condemning the incident.
