Pakistan minister rejects need for grand political alliance
Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal criticized a political party for making statements during the Jaffar Express train siege that mirrored those of terrorists. He emphasized that Pakistan does not need a grand alliance and highlighted the government's progress in improving the economy. Iqbal condemned the attack on the train as cowardly and reaffirmed the commitment to eliminate terrorism. He stated that the armed forces, security agencies, and the government are united against terrorism. He also criticized the previous PTI government, claiming it led Pakistan to economic decline. Iqbal noted that the international community condemned the attack and that discussions with the Afghan government are ongoing regarding cross-border terrorism.
