Pakistani embassies worldwide celebrate Pakistan Day
Pakistani embassies celebrated Pakistan Day on March 23, 2025, around the world. These celebrations took place in various countries, including Singapore, the UAE, Belgium, Malaysia, and many others. The festivities began with flag hoisting ceremonies at each embassy. Leaders from Pakistan, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, sent messages of celebration that were shared during the events. In Malaysia, High Commissioner Syed Ahsan Raza Shah honored the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers. He praised Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his role in Pakistan's independence and encouraged a spirit of unity among Pakistanis. In Uzbekistan, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq paid tribute to the founding leaders of Pakistan. A community event was held, attended by local media and members of the Pakistani diaspora. In Cairo, Dr. Raza Shahid conveyed a congratulatory message from Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. In South Africa, Acting High Commissioner Fahad Amjad spoke about the significance of the day in the context of Muslim history. In Brussels, Chargé d’Affaires Faraz Zaidi reflected on the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which was key to Pakistan's creation. He urged the Pakistani community to promote unity and positively impact both Pakistan and their host country. In France, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch welcomed guests and emphasized the importance of March 23. In Norway and Vienna, ambassadors highlighted the resolution's significance that led to the formation of Pakistan. Ceremonial cakes were cut at the embassies, and special prayers were offered for Pakistan's peace, progress, and prosperity.
