Pakistani forces accused of killing Baloch activist's brother

In Balochistan, Pakistani security forces are accused of killing Shah Jahan Baloch, the brother of a former chairman of the Baloch Student Organisation. This follows reports of enforced disappearances and targeted killings in the region. The Baloch National Movement has called for an independent investigation into these incidents. They reported a rise in human rights violations, including arbitrary arrests and illegal executions, throughout February 2025. In a separate incident, a bomb blast at a mosque in South Waziristan injured Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam district chief Abdullah Nadeem and three others. The explosion occurred during Friday prayers, causing panic among worshippers.
