Pakistan's army chief calls for war against BLA
Pakistan's Army Chief, General Asim Munir, has openly criticized the government of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif following a severe train attack by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). During a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Munir expressed his anger over the embarrassment caused by the incident. The train attack took place in Balochistan and is believed to have resulted in the deaths of over 100 Pakistani soldiers, according to claims from the BLA. General Munir called for the government to take stronger action and improve its governance. He warned that the ongoing violence and lack of authority are costing lives. Munir emphasized the need for Pakistan to adopt strict measures against extremism. He stated that the country's survival and the future of its generations depend on it. The meeting was attended by top leaders, including PM Shahbaz Sharif, although Imran Khan’s party, PTI, chose to boycott. Earlier, the Pakistani government accused India and Afghanistan of supporting the BLA in this attack. The situation remains tense as the military and government navigate growing security concerns.
