Palace confirms no plans for reenacted budget in 2025

Malacañang announced there have been no discussions about a reenacted budget for fiscal year 2025. This statement was made by Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez after meetings with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his economic team. Chavez noted that President Marcos received the proposed national budget late on Friday. The President aims to finalize the budget before the end of the year. Originally, Marcos planned to sign the P6.352 trillion budget on December 20, but this was postponed for further review. The President is consulting with key department heads regarding the budget.
