Parag Shah named India's richest MLA with ₹3,400 crore

BJP MLA Parag Shah from Ghatkopar East is now recognized as India's richest MLA, with assets nearing Rs 3,400 crore. This marks a significant increase in wealth compared to previous reports. Congress MLA DK Shivakumar follows as the second richest, with assets over Rs 1,413 crore. The report analyzed 4,092 MLAs across 28 states and three Union Territories, revealing that 119 MLAs are billionaires. The report also highlights that 45% of MLAs have declared criminal cases against themselves. Andhra Pradesh has the highest percentage of MLAs facing such cases, with 79% reporting criminal charges.
