Park City ski resort faces disruptions as patrol strike continues
Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the U.S., is facing significant disruptions as ski patrollers continue their strike, now in its third week. Only 25 of 41 lifts and 103 of 350 trails are currently open. The strike began on December 27, with patrollers demanding a $2 hourly wage increase. Vail Resorts has offered a smaller raise of about $1 per hour, despite claims of raising wages by 50% over the past four years. The strike is affecting not only Park City but also other ski areas, as employees show support. Negotiations between Vail Resorts and the union are ongoing, with mediation resuming.
