Parkville baseball wins season opener against Towson 8-7

In an exciting season opener, Parkville baseball defeated Towson 8-7 with a dramatic walk-off hit from Matt Rose. The game was filled with lead changes and close plays throughout its seven innings. The Knights started strong, scoring two runs in the first inning. Weston Brine hit a two-run single to give Parkville an early 2-0 lead. However, Towson fought back in the fourth inning. Gavin Dickens hit a three-run home run, and Towson took a 4-2 advantage soon after. Both teams showed their skills, but also made mistakes. Parkville tied the game in the fifth with a solo home run from Rose, followed by a soft hit from Teddy Pineda that allowed another run. Towson answered back with two runs in the sixth, but Parkville quickly regained the lead with a three-run rally. In the final inning, Towson took a one-run lead again, but Parkville refused to give up. Matt Rose hit the game-winning single to bring home Brian Crispin De La Cruz. Coach Joe Daddura praised the team's effort, especially after last year's tough loss to Towson. Overall, it was a thrilling start to the season for both teams. The game showcased many impressive plays and the competitive spirit of high school baseball.
