Parliament discusses budget and banking laws today

Today, the Lok Sabha will meet at 11 a.m. to discuss important legislative issues. The agenda includes multiple reports from standing committees. Members will also debate and vote on the Demands for Grants for the Ministry of Jal Shakti for the financial year 2025-26. Additionally, the House will continue to consider cut motions introduced on March 18, 2025. There will also be discussions and voting on the grants necessary for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for the same year. Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha will continue discussing the Home Ministry's performance. They will also consider the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill 2024. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to advocate for the bill’s passage. Both Houses will focus on key issues that affect various sectors of governance today.
