Parma firefighters rescue mother and son from fire
On Monday morning, firefighters rescued a mother and her 5-year-old son from a burning house in Parma, Ohio. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on State Road, where crews responded to a fire at a home behind a business. Firefighters found the family trapped inside. They used a chair as a step to bring the mother and son to safety. A smoke detector in the house alerted them to the emergency. Additionally, firefighters noticed a flashlight shining through a rear window, helping them locate the family. The fire was located in the living room area, and crews quickly extinguished it. While the cause of the fire is still unclear, it appears to have been accidental. An estimate of the damages has not yet been provided. Fortunately, the mother and child were evaluated on the scene but did not need to be taken to the hospital.
