Pasig River ferry operations suspended as Typhoon Nika impacts Manila
Ferry operations on the Pasig River were suspended on Monday due to Typhoon Nika, also known as Toraji. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced the halt as Metro Manila is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1. Typhoon Nika was last reported over the coastal waters of Dilasag, Aurora, with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 180 kph. The MMDA advised the public to stay cautious and monitor their Facebook page for further updates.
