Passenger caught smuggling $1.27 million in marijuana at Delhi airport

An Indian national was caught smuggling over $1.27 million worth of marijuana at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on February 21. The drugs were hidden in cookie and rice packages. Customs officers discovered the marijuana during an X-ray screening of the passenger's bag. The haul weighed 24 pounds and was concealed in eight food packages. The passenger has been detained, and an investigation is ongoing.
