Passenger criticizes Air India flight for poor conditions
A passenger on Air India has shared his frustration about a 16-hour business-class flight from Chicago to Delhi. He posted his complaints on X, highlighting several problems he encountered during the journey. Soumitra Chatterjee, the passenger, accused the airline of giving him a broken and uncomfortable seat. He also pointed out that the cabin was dirty and the food was inadequate. Chatterjee paid Rs 2,42,000 for the flight, which made the experience even more disappointing for him. He criticized Air India's offer of Rs 5,000 as compensation, calling it a "peanut" compared to the trouble he faced. In his post, he expressed his disbelief at the airline's service, saying, “We all know your level.” Instead of accepting the compensation, he donated it to a cause for better understanding of passenger struggles. Chatterjee also blasted Air India for its automated replies to his complaints. He claimed the airline was not addressing issues genuinely and was instead relying on bots for customer service. Air India's response to him acknowledged his concern but was brief, further frustrating Chatterjee. This incident contributes to a wider pattern of complaints against Air India. Customers have been increasingly vocal about their dissatisfaction with the airline's service in recent months.
