A Liverpool bakery has closed a location just four months after opening. Pastille Dessert Bar set up its stall in a busy city market but decided to shut it down to work on new projects. Founder Jamie Heffey shared the news on social media. He thanked customers for their support and explained that they are shifting their focus to exciting new opportunities. Pastille originally opened its first shop in Liverpool in May 2024. A second location followed in November at the Baltic Market. Jamie had previously announced plans for expansion, including a new site at the Trafford Centre in Greater Manchester. He expressed gratitude for the community's overwhelming support over the past year. The bakery brands itself with a variety of sweet offerings from artisan baked goods to classic treats. Before Pastille, Baltic Market's dessert scene included Midnight Delivery, a dessert business that closed in October 2024 after several years of operation. Another dessert trader, Churros Cherreria, has now taken up the space, serving a range of churros with different sauces.
