Patient complains of nurse negligence in Bareilly hospital
A patient at Bareilly Civil Hospital walked to the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) while still connected to an IV drip. The patient, Raju Shilpi, complained about negligence from the nursing staff. He claimed that they had forgotten to remove the IV bottle despite his repeated requests. SDM Santosh Mudgal was surprised by the situation and quickly reached out to hospital staff to address the complaint. Raju reported complications, saying that blood was going back into the IV bottle. Following this, the SDM ordered the removal of the IV and requested the Block Medical Officer to take disciplinary action against the nurses involved. This incident highlights ongoing issues with healthcare in the area. Just a few days before, there was a report of valuable medicines being burned at a health center nearby, but no action was taken then. The overall state of health services in Bareilly, a region represented by Health Minister Narendra Shivaji Patel, has raised serious concerns. The alleged negligence of hospital staff has led to public outrage.
