Patna hospital director shot dead in office

The director of a private hospital in Patna, Bihar, was shot and killed in her office on Saturday. Police report that Surabhi Raj had multiple gunshot wounds. She was quickly taken to the ICU and then referred to AIIMS, where she later died. The police have not yet identified the shooter or the reason behind the attack. They are collecting evidence and investigating the incident. At around 3:30 PM, staff found Raj unconscious and bleeding in her office. At the time of the shooting, a training session was happening for medical trainees in another room. Some trainees heard noise and went to check, discovering Raj lying in a pool of blood. They were surprised, as no one heard gunshots during the session. A police team, including a forensic unit and a dog squad, has been sent to the hospital to start the investigation. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage to gather more information about the shooting.
