Patrick Schwarzenegger reflects on nervous music video experience
Patrick Schwarzenegger recently recalled his experience acting in Ariana Grande's 2013 music video for "Right There." He played Romeo, while Grande starred as Juliet. Looking back 12 years later, Schwarzenegger shared that he was very nervous at the time, as it was one of his first roles. In the music video, Schwarzenegger arrives at a ball with friends and meets Grande, who sings to him from her balcony. They share playful, romantic moments, including a scene where they jump into a pool together. Schwarzenegger has fond memories of the project and believes it was a fun experience. He noted that Grande was just beginning to rise in fame back then. Since featuring in Grande's music video, Schwarzenegger has taken on various roles. Most recently, he gained more attention for his part as Saxon Ratliff in Season 3 of "The White Lotus." His character is quite different from the charming Romeo, and he hopes viewers do not confuse him with the "weird and creepy" persona he's portraying. Schwarzenegger's family had mixed reactions to his nude scene in "The White Lotus." He humorously noted that his mom was flustered while watching, whereas his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, found it funny. As the season progresses, he keeps spoilers about the show to himself, even as his sister tries to get hints from him. Looking back on his journey, Schwarzenegger would tell his younger self to keep working hard and persevering. He appreciates how far he has come in his career.
