Patriots likely to draft receiver Travis Hunter, predicts Kiper
The New England Patriots have made significant improvements to their team through free agency. However, they still need a top wide receiver to support their quarterback, Drake Maye. NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. believes the Patriots will choose Travis Hunter, who could be the best player in the upcoming draft. Kiper noted that Hunter played well in college, catching 96 passes for 1,258 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns. Even though he can also play as a cornerback, Kiper ranks him as a receiver. He thinks Hunter's skills would fit nicely into the Patriots' offense. Head coach Mike Vrabel could be open to using Hunter on both offense and defense. This flexibility could add value to the team. Kiper has predicted that other players, like Cam Ward and Abdul Carter, will be picked before Hunter. Hunter had a standout season, winning the Heisman Trophy for his exceptional performances on both sides of the ball. He is expected to make a quick impact on the Patriots if selected.
