Patriots may surprise with running back at No. 4

He points out that the running back position, once seen as less important, has gained respect due to the performance of players like Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry. Jeanty had an impressive season, rushing for 2,601 yards and scoring 29 touchdowns in 2024. He could provide significant support to Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in multiple ways. Despite his talent, some believe the team should focus on more pressing needs, particularly on the offensive line and at wide receiver. Quinn agrees, noting that while Jeanty would be a valuable addition, addressing the offensive line or wide receiver positions might benefit the team more in the long run. With many strong running backs available later in the draft, it may be wiser for the Patriots to wait rather than pick a running back early.
