Patriots' players claimed by Titans and Steelers

The New England Patriots made some roster changes recently. On Friday, they cut four players, including linebacker Curtis Jacobs. Jacobs was quickly claimed by the Tennessee Titans, the first team on the waiver wire. The 23-year-old linebacker had a brief NFL career, appearing in nine games during his rookie season with the Patriots. He mainly played on special teams and made two starts on defense. Unfortunately, he ended his season on injured reserve due to a head injury. The Titans have been reshaping their linebacker group. They recently signed other players and Jacobs was one of the players let go by the Patriots. Another player cut on the same day, offensive lineman Lecitus Smith, was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Two other players cut from the Patriots, tackle Caleb Jones and linebacker Andrew Parker Jr., were not claimed and are now free agents.
