Paxtang Grill in Dauphin County closes indefinitely

A family-owned bar and restaurant in Dauphin County has closed indefinitely. Paxtang Grill, located on Derry Street, announced the news on Tuesday night. Owners Nik and Faith Sgagias said the closure was not planned but promised they would return soon. The decision came after a St. Patrick’s Day party held on March 15 and plans for renovations. The grill was initially set to reopen on March 30, but now those plans are on hold. The Sgagiases did not provide details on the reason for the closure. Customers expressed their surprise and sadness on social media. Many shared their hopes for the establishment to reopen quickly, calling it a special place. Paxtang Grill has been a community fixture since it opened its doors in 1963. In their message, the owners thanked their staff and loyal patrons, referring to them as family. They assured everyone that this is just a pause, and they plan to come back stronger.
