Pedestrian critically injured in Glasgow road crash

A serious crash on Saturday night has left a pedestrian in critical condition. The accident occurred at around 8:40 PM on Carntyne Road in Glasgow, at the junction with Murrayfield Street. The pedestrian, a 58-year-old man, was struck by a silver Volkswagen T-Cross. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident. Police closed the road as they responded to the crash, reopening it at about 3 AM on Sunday. Sergeant Chris McColm from Road Policing is asking for witnesses to come forward. He also requests anyone with dash-cam footage to help with their investigation.
