Penguins beat Islanders 5-2 with Poulin's strong performance
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defeated the Bridgeport Islanders 5-2 on Sunday. Forward Sam Poulin had a standout performance, scoring one goal and assisting on two others. Matt Nieto also contributed with a goal and an assist. Defenseman Sebastian Aho helped with three assists in the game. Goaltender Filip Larsson was effective, making 22 saves on 24 shots, improving his record to 11 wins and 8 losses. The Penguins will play their next game at home against the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. In another game, the Wheeling Nailers lost to the Indy Fuel, 3-1. Goaltender Taylor Gauthier saved 18 out of 21 shots, bringing his record to 13 wins and 10 losses. Jordan Martel scored the only goal for Wheeling. The Nailers' next game will be at home against the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday at 7:10 p.m.
