Person rescued alive from BART tracks in Oakland

A medical emergency was declared at BART in Oakland after a person entered the trackway on Sunday evening. Trains were halted for over an hour between the Lake Merritt and Coliseum stops. BART police and the Oakland Fire Department responded to the incident around 8 p.m. The individual was safely removed from the tracks and was alive.
