Peter Malnati seeks to improve struggling golf game
Peter Malnati is feeling frustrated with his golf game as he prepares for the 2025 Valspar Championship. Last year, he won the tournament after struggling at the start of the season. However, this year, his performance is similar. He has played eight events, made three cuts, and only finished in the top 50 once. In a press conference, Malnati expressed his disappointment. He mentioned that although he worked hard on his game, he wasn't seeing results. "I was approaching that definition of insanity," he said, repeating the same methods without success. Despite these challenges, the 37-year-old is optimistic about improving his performance. Recently, Malnati started working with a new instructor. He is excited about the fresh ideas and approaches being introduced to his game. He believes he can turn things around, saying, "I have that feeling that the sky's the limit." Last season did not go as planned for Malnati, despite winning the Valspar Championship. He ended the year with more missed cuts than made ones and only one top-10 finish. His victory allowed him to qualify for certain playoff events, but he did not progress further. Malnati also qualified for three major championships but missed the cuts in all of them.
