Peter Sinfield, lyricist for King Crimson and Roxy Music, dies at 80
Peter Sinfield, the lyricist for King Crimson and other artists, has died at age 80. King Crimson announced his passing but did not provide a cause of death. Sinfield was known for his mystical lyrics and political themes. Sinfield co-founded King Crimson and wrote lyrics for their first four albums from 1969 to 1971. He later produced Roxy Music's debut album and collaborated with various artists, including Greg Lake and Céline Dion, for whom he wrote the hit "Think Twice." After a successful career, Sinfield's output decreased following heart surgery in the mid-2000s. He shifted his focus to poetry and lived in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, until his death.
