The PFL will change its format in 2025, moving from a season and playoffs to a single-elimination tournament. This new structure will feature eight weight classes with eight fighters each, running from April to August. Additionally, the PFL will stop promoting events under the Bellator MMA brand, which it acquired in 2023. Bellator's fighters will be integrated into the PFL, and there will be one champion per weight class. The PFL plans to launch PFL Africa this summer and has already established PFL Europe and PFL MENA. The organization aims to enhance its roster and increase fan engagement with these changes.
