PGA Tour members elect Player Advisory Council co-chairmen
PGA Tour members are currently voting to choose two co-chairmen for the Player Advisory Council. The voting will continue until April 14. Candidates announced for the position include Rickie Fowler, Maverick McNealy, and Keith Mitchell. The two players with the most votes will take over from Peter Malnati and Webb Simpson on January 1, 2026. Starting in 2026, only one chairman will be elected each year for a four-year term on the PGA Tour Policy Board. The player receiving the most votes will become the PAC chairman, while the second-highest vote-getter will serve as co-chair for three years. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan explained that these changes are meant to improve governance. They aim to reflect recent organizational changes and enhance the decision-making process. The six player directors, including notable names like Tiger Woods, are involved in this transition.
