Philippine Coast Guard deploys ship and aircraft to monitor China's largest coast guard vessel
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has deployed a patrol ship and two aircraft to monitor China's largest coast guard vessel, known as "The Monster," which was spotted off Zambales province. This vessel, the China Coast Guard Vessel 5901, was located 100 kilometers from Capones Island. The PCG emphasized that the Chinese ship was operating within the Philippines' exclusive economic zone. The BRP Cabra and aircraft were sent to assert the Philippines' presence and ensure the safety of local fishermen. The Chinese vessel has previously been seen in the area, raising concerns about its activities.
