Philippine Coast Guard halts sea travel in Zambales as Super Typhoon Pepito approaches
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended sea travel in Zambales on November 16 due to expected rough seas from Super Typhoon Pepito. All seacrafts, except those seeking shelter, are prohibited from traveling in the area. Coastal communities and fishermen are advised to avoid risky sea activities as the typhoon approaches. Pepito, with winds up to 185 kilometers per hour, is expected to make landfall near Catanduanes. The weather agency has issued Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 for Zambales and other parts of Luzon. Pepito is moving west-northwest and is projected to exit the Philippine area by November 18.
