The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) seized P1.4 million worth of uncertified goods in Cebu earlier this month. This action is part of an ongoing effort to eliminate substandard products from the market. Operations by DTI's Task Force Kalasag took place on March 3, 6, and 7. The seized items included lighters, LPG products, electrical devices, household appliances, construction materials, and automotive goods. So far this year, the DTI has confiscated over P8.3 million worth of non-compliant products. The agency encourages the public to report violations related to uncertified goods.
