Philips and Ibex enhance AI in cancer diagnosis

Philips and Ibex are expanding their partnership to improve cancer diagnosis through AI technology. This collaboration enhances the workflow of pathology teams, making it more efficient and reliable for patient care. One of the key developments is Philips IntelliSite Pathology 6.0. This updated system includes new features and AI capabilities that help pathologists analyze scanned images more effectively. The AI-powered tools streamline the process from case management to diagnosis and reporting. Stéphane Rossat, a director at Medipath, commented on the benefits of this integration. He believes that the seamless connection between Philips and Ibex platforms will speed up the use of advanced pathology tools. The latest version, PIPS 6.0, offers easier navigation and optimized workflows for physicians. PIPS 6.0 includes several improvements, such as a full scan mode for the pathology SG scanner. It allows for a better display of AI processing status and automatic sharing of slides with Ibex AI applications. These enhancements are designed to increase efficiency and ultimately improve patient care. Additionally, Philips is partnering with Amazon Web Services to provide cloud storage and management services for pathology labs. This will help labs securely store and analyze the growing amounts of digital pathology data.
