Physical fitness tests for forest guard roles ongoing

The physical fitness test for forest guard, forester, and livestock inspector positions is ongoing at Rangeilunda airstrip in Berhampur. This follows reports of two candidates dying during similar tests in other parts of Odisha. The three-day assessment includes a 25km walk, high jump, and weight-lifting. Candidates can wear caps and carry umbrellas due to rising temperatures. Medical teams and supplies are on-site for safety. So far, 132 candidates participated on the first day and 120 on the second. The tests are set to conclude daily before 1pm to avoid the heat. The Odisha Staff Selection Commission is overseeing the recruitment for 569 vacancies.
