Pilgrim dies from breathlessness on Vellingiri Hills

A 36-year-old man died while on a pilgrimage to the Vellingiri Hills in Coimbatore. The man, named Siva and from Tiruvannamalai district, was with family and friends at the Suyambulingam Temple on Tuesday morning. Siva was climbing the third hill when he suddenly complained of breathlessness. He lost consciousness shortly after. His friends and relatives helped carry him down to the base village of Poondi. Unfortunately, Siva passed away before he could reach an ambulance. Local police have opened an investigation into the incident. They conducted a postmortem and have returned Siva's body to his family.
