Pine-Richland beats North Allegheny 11-5 in baseball

Pine-Richland High School's baseball team won decisively against North Allegheny with an 11-5 score. Breck Hemphill shined, hitting three times including two doubles and driving in two runs. In other matchups, Avella secured a no-hitter victory over Western Beaver, winning 5-1. Bryce Wright and Hayden Gatewood led the pitching effort. Beaver defeated Armstrong 12-5, helped by Logan Hill who had five RBIs. Blackhawk won against Chartiers Valley, 8-4, with Grant Landsberry contributing four RBIs. In another game, Central Valley triumphed over Quaker Valley 13-7, thanks to Daniel McIntosh's strong performance with two home runs. Softball saw Apollo-Ridge winning against Valley 14-5, where Jocelyn Snyder struck out ten and contributed five RBIs. Armstrong also found success, defeating Indiana 7-4. In another impressive game, North Catholic beat Bishop Canevin 6-1. Winning pitcher Kennedy Brown stood out by striking out 17 batters. Boys volleyball action saw Canon-McMillan defeating South Fayette 3-0, with Landon Patterson leading the scoring with 11 kills.
