Ward had been signed two weeks ago to fill in on special teams while Cordarrelle Patterson was injured. Patterson is now healthy and expected to return, which prompted the Steelers to make this roster change. Ward played 84 special teams snaps during Patterson's absence but has now used all three practice squad elevations.
