Playboi Carti's album 'Music' topped Spotify's streams
Playboi Carti performed his new album "Music" at the Rolling Loud California festival last weekend. During the show, he had guest appearances from The Weeknd and Skepta. The album was released on March 14, 2025, and quickly became Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day this year. Carti played for nearly two hours, showcasing the entire album for the first time. The Weeknd joined him on stage to perform their collaboration "Rather Lie" and "Timeless" from The Weeknd's new album. In a fun moment, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat was also on stage, receiving a YVL chain from Carti. Skepta came out to perform "Toxic," marking their second collaboration together. Carti also let fans choose songs, playing hits like "Long Time" and "Location" from his earlier work. "Music" features 30 tracks and contributions from artists including Travis Scott, Future, and Kendrick Lamar. Carti's performance was well-received, and the album continues to break streaming records. Despite its success, Kanye West recently expressed his disapproval of Kendrick Lamar's involvement in the project.
