PM and army chief attend funeral for Rangers killed in PTI protests

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir attended the funeral of three Rangers personnel killed during protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. The ceremony took place at Chaklala Garrison. During the funeral, Prime Minister Sharif condemned the violence associated with the protests. He stated that Pakistan cannot afford chaos and bloodshed for political gain, calling the violence unacceptable. The fallen officers were Naik Muhammad Ramzan, Sepoy Gulfam Khan, and Sepoy Shah Nawaz. Their bodies will be returned to their hometowns for burial with full military honors.
