PM Modi to attend eye hospital ceremony in Nagpur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nagpur on March 30. He will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new eye hospital built by the Madhav Netralaya Charitable Trust. This event will take place at Hingna and coincides with Gudi Padwa, the Hindu new year. Modi's schedule confirms he will arrive at the event at 10 AM and will leave by 11:30 AM. He will be joined on stage by Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the RSS, along with other key figures including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Dr. Avinash Chandra Agnihotri, the trust’s general secretary, shared that they invited Modi in January. Communication with the Prime Minister's office has been ongoing, and they received a response regarding this visit. The new hospital will cover a built-up area of 500,000 square feet and is expected to be completed by 2028. Madhav Netralaya has operated since 1995 and aims to provide affordable eye care with the new facility. The trust has already completed 4,000 eye transplants. Agnihotri is optimistic about finishing the project in three years.
