PM praises agencies for arresting human trafficker in Pakistan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) for arresting Usman Jajja, a leader of a human trafficking network. This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking in Pakistan. During a meeting with agency officials, the prime minister highlighted the negative impact of human trafficking on Pakistan's reputation. He awarded appreciation shields and cheques to officials involved in the operation against Jajja's gang. Jajja is accused of extorting money from migrants with false job promises in Italy, leading to their abandonment in Libya. He has been linked to multiple criminal cases related to human trafficking.
